Oh! Yes, I was actually planning on reviewing that one eventually.

Title: Drool
Year: 2009

How gay is this?: Super Gay
Synopsis: Anora Fleece has got it rotten. Her husband is abusive, her children are disrespectful, and she lives in the middle of nowhere feeling like a nobody. Then Imogene Cochran moves into the neighborhood. Imogene sells Kathy K. Cosmetics make-up for the cocoa skinned woman. The neighbors dont like cocoa skinned anything, but that doesnt stop Imogene and Anora from becoming friends and, eventually, more than friends. When Anora’s husband, Cheb, finds them, all hell breaks loose, but the tables are turned when Anora accidentally shoots Cheb dead. Anora and Imogene then pile the kids in the Kathy K. car, throw the corpse in the trunk and ride off on a family road trip to bury daddy.
Since most of you (or all of you) were familiar with the first movie we posted, Imagine me and you, today we have a movie I am sure most of you have not seen. Drool is a comedy that will make you cringe for the first fifteen minutes, to take you further smoothly, with a lot of silly humor and two main characters you can’t help but love. Sometimes disgusting and raw, sometimes sweet and tender, but always fun, I’m sure opinions will be divided about this movie. Inthehat and I loved it and we had a great time watching the thing, so we can really recommend it.

Not all movies and books with some lesbianing going on in them have the same amount of it. I know some people are only interested in movies with a significant amount of gayness, so inthehat and I decided to add a little How gay is this? in all reviews, so you can have an idea of the amount of gayness you’ll find. This is how we’ll do it.
HOW GAY IS THIS?
Put your lesbian goggles on:
There is no canon gayness in that movie or book, but a lesbian watcher could certainly find heavy subtext on it.
If you blink it, you’ll miss it:
There is one lesbian scene, or an occasional mention to canon lesbians, but the plot and main characters are straight. (You can be sure we’ll try to post a video with the scene, if that’s the case, for those of you who don’t want to download the whole thing).
Background gay:
Secondary characters are lesbian and have some weight in the story, making regular appearances.
Super gay:
The main characters are gay and/or the plot is mostly about lesbian themes. (Good examples are the two reviews already on the page, Annie on my mind and Imagine me and you, both under this category).
If you are straight, it will turn you lesbian:
Not only the main characters are lesbian and the plot revolves around lesbian themes, no. Everyone in this book or movie is gay. Some poor straight man or woman may be seen around, but that’s it. Is the lesbian-gay utopia, you can’t go gayer than this.
And that’s it, my friends. Tomorrow, a new movie to download and enjoy. This time I’ll make sure is one most of you haven’t heard about, so you can have something new to watch!

Title: Imagine Me and You

Genre: Romantic Comedy
How gay is this?: Super gay.
Synopsis: Imagine you are getting married. The big day has arrived. You’re walking down the aisle on your father’s arm and your eyes meet the eyes of the person… Imagine you are getting married. The big day has arrived. You’re walking down the aisle on your father’s arm and your eyes meet the eyes of the person you know you’re going to spend the rest of your life with. Then, imagine that that person isn’t the nervous man standing next to the vicar. It isn’t a man at all. It’s the woman who’s been employed to do the flowers in the church. “Imagine Me and You” is a funny and fresh romantic comedy about that undeniable moment of knowing that someone is the right someone for you.
I don’t think this movie needs presentations. I thought we could start with the movie that gave us the head image -points up and left-, and that most of you have already seen, for sure. Is not the best movie I’ve seen, that’s for sure, but it’s a lovely alternative to the average lesbian film. A romantic comedy, a genre lesbian cinema clearly lacks, sweet and light, to watch with a smile and enjoy. You won’t get hard struggles against awakening sexualities or deep suffering or confusion. One of the best things this movie has to offer is the lack of labels. Is a love story, and the gender of the protagonists is the last thing they are worried about. If you haven’t seen it yet, you really should. Keep it for a moment of relax, a free evening, a sunday afternoon… and enjoy.
Still not convinced? You can see the trailer here.

We just told you a couple of hours ago about this new Tumblr and we are close to 50 followers! You guys are so amazing and we want to say thanks to all of you!
As inthehat wrote in the previous post, this month things are going to be pretty slow, but there will definitely be a post tomorrow and I want you to know that inthehat and I are already scheming about sections and other pretty, witty, gay things!
Kudos and hugs to all of you! <3
For some reason, my esteemed colleague ducksinthehat and I (inthehat) have decided to create this Tumblr wherein we will focus exclusively on…lesbian things. Books, movies, music, whatever smart stuff ducksinthehat knows about, et cetera.
So! Check us out, ask us things, suggest lesbian things for us to watch/read and ridicule that we may have overlooked, and we hope you enjoy our humble offerings.
PS: We’re just getting started, see, so posting may be a little slow for this first month, but once September hits, this thing will just explode with all the dyke-y goodness you could possibly want. More or less.
